I chose this build because it was the first bike I built completely custom for myself with exactly what I wanted.
I got this bike to be the 1 bike quiver and it has not disappointed. I have two wheelsets (650b and 700c) but I use the 650B wheels 95% of the time. I found that I just have so much fun riding massive tires with a bike that still handles like my road bike.
This bike has helped me really explore the lower mainland and Vancouver from Whistler to the Gulf Islands. This was also the first bike I got professionally fit for me and it has made all the difference. Regardless of how I feel physically or mentally, I get on this bike and it feels like my bike which makes me want to ride it that much more.
I like knowing that I have a bike that could handle everything from a 100km+ road ride to a gravel epic to some single track normally reserved for Mountain Bikes. This bike definitely shifted my perspective on what kind of terrain I can, and like, to ride while also inspiring me to explore the unknown trails and FSRs that are right in our backyard.
